jumpinfarmer 0 #1 December 29, 2003 I'm wondering about a Heatwave main. Would it make a beginer canopy? Wher could I find out about recomended wing loadings. There web site doesn't show anything.
SkydiveMonkey 0 #2 December 29, 2003 Probably not a beginner main - it's an eliptical in the same class as a stiletto.____________________ Say no to subliminal messages
Kris 0 #3 December 29, 2003 The Heatwave isn't a good choice for a first main, it definitely is in the same class as a Stiletto. I used to own one. For 9-cell, look into the Sabre, Sabre-2, Hornet, Lotus, and Pilot. For 7-cells, check out the Spectre & Triathlon.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
AggieDave 6 #4 December 29, 2003 I fully agree with Kris. Not usually a good main to start with. It is basically a Stiletto with some minor differences in flying characteristics. I highly highly recommend a Sabre2 (at the appropiate wingloading for your jumps... i.e. under 100 jumps, a 1.0:1 or less wingloading) as a good starter canopy.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
