acer 0 #1 December 23, 2003 I have Stiletto 135 (600 jumps) and i'm planning to buy used G3 MT (300 jumps) with 126 PD reserve. Does anyone have experience about packing Stiletto 135 to MT container? It says on MirageSystems web page that 120 is tight. (http://www.miragesys.com/order/sizing/size-mt.html). I want to know is it going to be too tight/very hard to pack? acer@sci.fi
jverley 1 #2 December 23, 2003 Why would you doubt the manufacturer? Do you think they are purposely putting bad information out? If they say a 120 is tight, I would expect the 135 to be at least 12.5% tighterJohn Arizona Hiking Trails
grega 0 #3 December 23, 2003 well i could put stilleto 120 with PD 126R in my mirage G4 MT (they say G4 MT is same as G3 MT, so no difference here). I also packed atair impulse/alpha 135 in it. that surely was tight, but it was "jumpable". i don't know about stilleto 135. if stilletos 135 pack volume is the same as impulses 135 pack volume, than maybe. But with impulse 135, main container was reaaalllyy tight and it was noticable that the main is too big for this container. And it is likely that you'll stretch out the container my advice is: listen to the manufacturer, if you want to jump 135, get a bigger container. MT is designed for 120 max. even my cobalt 120 is tight in there. 105 would be just about right for MT"George just lucky i guess!"
skycat 0 #4 December 23, 2003 Thier sizing is pretty much dead on, at least for the MXS which I have. It says a vengence 120 very tight and the samurie (sp) 120 is VERY TIGHT and a pain to get in the bag. So you probably could put a ST135 in there, but it will be a bitch to close off and it probably won't look very nice. Of course I do live in a desert climate so if you live somewhere humid it may not be such a big deal.Fly it like you stole it!
