Anyone have an opinion regarding the reserve spring on an Odyssey?

It's worked just fine three times for a friend of mine. I know a few others who have had Odyssey reserve rides with no complaints.

I have a friend who is a rigger. He mentioned that it has one of the weakest springs on the market. I want opinions before I make a purchase.

Think of it this way, someone has to have the weakest spring on the market, and someone has to have the strongest. The reserve system needs to work, every time. To my knowledge, there haven't been any incidents due to a weak spring on the Odyssey.

A good point by Jimbo.

Yep, I think my Odyssey RPC spring is pretty weak, but when I popped it last week on the ground, it went airborne until the bridle arrested it (went the entire length of the bridle). I think it'll work fine. I compared it to a new one, and the new one seemed a bit stronger, but hard to compare when just using your hands.

Worked fine for me after a 1 second delay and a 3 second delay, but I had a head-high body orientation in both occasions which might have helped.
