pilotdave 0 #26 December 8, 2003 Not that it matters all that much if its actually 1000 feet, but altimeter lag could be making it look longer than it really is. The lag will affect the top end of the indicated opening altitude than the bottom end cause you're moving faster when you pull than when you're under an open canopy. Make sure you pull down evenly on both risers, on my last jump my righthandedness showed when i looked up to see my snivelling canopy trying to put a line twist in itself as i was pulling harder on the right than the left.
